How to choose the depth of a bookcase
For A5 books 25 cm is enough; albums and ring binders need 32–35 cm. A deeper bookcase takes up room in a narrow hallway, so measure the distance to the door too.
- Fiction: 25 cm
- Albums, ring binders, boxes: 35 cm
- A TV or speakers on a shelf: 40–45 cm
